After winning the Logan High School contest, Gracie Miller competed this past Saturday in a regional competition of Poetry Out Loud at Stuart's Opera House in Nelsonville, Ohio. Miller was chosen as one, of two, representatives from the region to attend the State contest on March 8th, in Columbus, Ohio. Miller presented the poems The Bait, by Eric Chock, and Candles, by Carl Dennis. Poetry Out Loud is a national poetry recitation contest.

Due to uncertain weather conditions and possible flooding, the Band Concert scheduled for tonight (2/7/2019) has been canceled and will be rescheduled for February 20, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the Logan High School Theater. We apologize for the change, but the safety of students is our highest concern.
The 2019 Logan High School Aerial is now on sale. We are having a two-day sale and you can order online for $55 through midnight on Friday, February 8. After that the price will increase.
Any parent of a 2019-2020 high school student is invited to attend an information night on Thursday, February 21, in the Logan High School Lecture Hall. The night will include information on course selection, registration, and a question and answer session so you can have all the information you need to help your student(s) choose the best courses for their 2019-2020 school year.
The Logan High School Chieftains Student-Run Credit Union recently received a donation of $1,000 from Atomic Credit Union. The students were given a membership goal to achieve in order to promote the importance of saving at a young age and to remind everyone that, no matter the amount, every penny counts when it comes to making consistent deposits into a savings account!
Members of the LHS Girls Basketball team, parents, coaches and others attended The Women in Sports Breakfast of Champions hosted by the Athens Recreation Center on Saturday, Feb. 2nd. Katie Smith was the keynote speaker and Logan Graduate, Tez Kraft-Reardon was the emcee.
