A Message from the School Social Worker
Hello and Welcome Winter!
January brings some exciting events to the School Counseling Program. We are continuing with lessons regarding gratitude, compassion and caring among several grades. The last week of January is The Great Kindness Challenge. This is an international event involving several kindness activities. Help our school become Kindness Certified by participating in this event!
Kindness Week is January 27th - 31st
We are asking students to participate in some fun dress-up days by doing the following:
Monday: Shine Bright with Kindness (Wear bright colors)
Tuesday: Round up the Kindness (Western day)
Wednesday: Crazy for Kindness (Crazy hair day)
Thursday: Hats off to Kindness (Hat day)
Friday: Color of Kindness (Wear red)
Students will be collecting Coins for Kindness. These funds will be used to support our local Habitat for Humanity. Students will also be given tasks to do daily to demonstrate kindness in our school. Thank you for your participation and we are looking forward to a fun-filled week of Kindness, Leadership and Learning!
