LHMS Solo & Ensemble Recital
Logan-Hocking Middle
Submitted by: Zane Murrey

Each Spring, a handful of 7th and 8th grade choral students at Logan-Hocking Middle School are invited to partake in the Ohio Music Education Association’s Solo & Ensemble Contest. This year, a total of sixteen soloists will be traveling to the adjudicated event held at Whitehall-Yearling High School. Vocalists are evaluated musically against a categorical rubric and then given an overall rating that can range anywhere from 1 to 5, with 1 being considered the top of the scale and referred to as a “Superior” rating.

On the evening of Thursday, March 21st, 2018, the LHMS Vocal Music Department will be hosting a formal preparatory recital for this event in the Logan-Hocking Middle School Theater. The recital will begin promptly at 7:00pm. There is no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.
