Congratulations, Hocking Hills Elementary!

Ohio University’s Patton College of Education presents the 12th Annual Art Extravaganza on November 5th, from 5-7pm. OU selected one school, in the area, to feature student artwork. This year, the talented students from Hocking Hills Elementary were chosen for the exhibit. On Nov. 5th, approximately 35 pieces of Hocking Hills Elementary students’ artwork will be unveiled at McCracken Hall. Parents, students, teachers, staff, administrators, board members and community members are encourage to attend the informal kick-off event, open to the public.

The Hocking Hills Elementary artwork will be on exhibit at McCracken Hall until the auction in the spring semester. The proceeds from the spring auction go directly back to the students, giving them a chance to earn money through their talent and hard work. Principal Andy Rice is excited about the art show, stating, “It is a very unique way for our students and school to receive recognition for their art. Special thanks to LHSD Elementary Art instructor, Miss Woodburn, for helping make this opportunity possible for our students.”
