Inspirational Speaker Visits Logan to Grow Suicide Awareness - October 2nd
Submitted by: Dani Bell

Next week, Kristen Anderson, author of, “Life, In Spite of me - Extraordinary Hope After A Fatal Choice”, will be coming to Logan to share her story of her battle with depression and suicide attempt, as a teenager. On the morning of October 2nd, she will present to the Logan High School students, followed by an afternoon visit to the Logan-Hocking Middle School to speak to the students. At 7pm, the community is invited to the Middle School, to personally hear her presentation.

Ashley N. Herring, Program Specialist-Child Care with South Central Ohio JFS stated, "I have heard Kristen speak and her story is absolutely incredible. I know we encounter so many people on a daily basis, whether it be our own family, customers, co-workers, and people out in the community. This is a great opportunity to hear about how, as a community, we can try to prevent suicide; what signs we can look for in our loved ones or customers, and how we can effectively help them get the treatment they need."

The evening session is open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to attend and hear her inspirational story. Please pass this information on to anyone who may benefit from attending.
