Welcome to the web site for Union Furnace Elementary School. An EXCELLENT school for the last 5 years, designated by the Ohio Department of Education!! For the first time ever, UF received the highest designation, "Excellent with Distinction" for the 2011-12 school year! Congratulations to our students, staff and families for all your hard work!

The community of Union Furnace was once famous for the Columbus Brick and Terra Cotta Company which used the coal and surrounding clay to make the famous "Columbus" brick of 1884. Today, Union Furnace keeps its charm as a rural area within the Hocking Hills Region.
