Students must be 3 years old by 3/27/15, to be eligible to attend round-up. The Logan-Hocking School District will be holding preschool screenings on Friday, March 27, 2015, for any child interested in participating in preschool for the 2015-2016 school year.
In recognition of a commitment to quality and an ongoing dedication to the learning and development of children, Logan Hocking Preschool has received a Five-Star Step Up To Quality Award from the state of Ohio. Step Up To Quality is Ohio’s rating system for learning and development programs. Participating programs can earn a one to five star rating.

The Logan-Hocking Preschool Program recently underwent an extensive evaluation process through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and received a five star Step Up to Quality rating. This is the highest rating that can be given to a preschool program.
Registration for the 2014-2015 school year for all preschool students in the Logan Hocking School District is taking place now through June 6, 2014. The registrar’s office is located at the Logan Hocking Administrative Offices at 2019 E. Front Street. In order to be considered for preschool services, all children must be three years old by August 25, 2014 and be potty trained. There are nine classes within the Logan Hocking School District. Each elementary building has at least one preschool classroom and some have additional classes. Preschool enrollment is based on availability in each classroom.
Logan Hocking Schools recently was awarded a five star rating for each of its preschool units within the district. This evaluation was conducted by personnel from the Ohio Department of Education in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. The evaluation procedure, known as Step up to Quality, has a five tiered level system with set criteria for each step.

The screenings will be held at Chieftain Elementary School, 28296 Chieftain Drive, Logan, Ohio. Screenings sessions will be held at 8:30, 10:30 and 1:00. Students must be 3 years old by 3/21/14, to be eligible to attend round-up.
We are looking for students ages 3-5 to attend preschool. Green and Chieftain Elementary still have openings! If you do not live in that attendance area, you are welcome to transport your child. Your child must be at least 3 years old and potty trained to attend. If you are working or going to school, you may qualify for tuition assistance through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Tuition for 4 day class: $100/week Tuition for 5 day class: $125/week

There are nine classes within the Logan Hocking School District. Preschool enrollment is based on availability in each classroom. Tuition is required for all students that do not have a documented disability and is based on the number of days attended.
