Logan-Hocking Middle

On Saturday, February 11th, the LHMS MathCounts team competed at the regional chapter MathCounts competition at Ohio University. Logan was one of four teams that competed and there were a total of 38 students in the competition. Logan had four students that placed in the top 10 for the day. Those four students also had success in the head to head Countdown round. In the team round, Logan placed 2nd. Individual awards went to the following students:
Jacob Weis placed 8th for the day and 9th in the Countdown round. Tifani Stevens placed 7th for the day and 8th in the Countdown round. Blake Coakley placed 4th for the day and 2nd in the Countdown round. Colin Kittle placed 3rd for the day and 4th in the Countdown round. Weis, Stevens, Coakley and Kittle were also the four students that made up the team that placed second. Other participants for Logan were Trenton Coakley, Brooke Perry, Milli Pickrell, Hunter Pippin, Lincoln Ballenger, Gavin Deer, Ally Hoffman and Mia McAfee.
