Logan High School Instrumentalists participated in District XV Solo and Ensemble Contest on Saturday Jan. 21 at Pickerington North High School. Over 1000 students across Central Ohio participated in this annual event at this location. Students were rated as Superior, Excellent, Good, Fair, or Poor. Logan Instrumentalists compiled 15 Superior, 8 Excellent, and 2 Good Ratings.

Solo and Ensemble participation is voluntary and requires group practice outside the regular school day. This year, we had 12 ensembles and 13 soloists entered. We had several students perform in two or three groups and several students playing in two or three groups as well as taking a solo. We even had a few students playing more than one instrument at contest! Logan High School was well represented. We are very proud of our band students!

Soloists receiving Excellent Ratings were Paige Magdich, Trumpet; Bailey Lape, Alto Saxophone; Amber Morgan, Bari Saxophone; Addison Gray, Flute; Rozalin White, Flute and Piccolo.

Soloist receiving a Good Rating was Alleana Brown, Tuba.
