Submitted by: Nina Andrews

The Logan-Hocking Local School District has joined with other school districts, communities, and corporate sponsors from across the country in uniting to protect our most vital resource-our youth: by proclaiming the week of March 29-April 2, 2004 as " National Youth Violence Prevention Week".

Each day of the week will focus on a specific violence prevention strategy. These include the following:

Monday-Promoting respect and tolerance

Tuesday-Anger management

Wednesday-Resolving conflicts peacefully

Thursday-Supporting safety

Friday-Uniting in action and positive alternatives for youth

During this week students and staff at Logan High School will work together in the promotion of positive roles that youth can assume in the prevention and reduction of youth violence.
