In less than two months, for the first time in school history, the Logan High School Chamber Singers, high school’s select choral ensemble, will perform on the stage of Carnegie Hall in New York City. Accompanied by a professional Manhattan-based orchestra, the Chamber Singers will be joined by two other invited Ohio high schools, as well as the Chapel Choir from Capital University, all under the direction of Dr. Lynda Hasseler
Union Furnace will be opening the Chieftain Credit Union, Wednesday, January 29th. This is a free program where students may save pennies at a time while being rewarded for their savings with special treats. Students from the 3rd and 4th grade interviewed for this job and will actually work the bank themselves. The bank will be open every Wednesday. To open an account, contact the school about the application process.
The LHS Key Club collected items for "Blessing Bags" that are being donated to the Inspire Shelter. The student led organization collected 716 items and made up 44 bags. This tremendous effort shows the care these students have for the community. Thank you to all who donated.
