Hocking Hills had a visit from new deputy "Tiger" today! We hope to see him several times this year. We are so lucky to have a security K-9 for our schools! Deputy Kinneer volunteered to be the K-9 resource officer for Logan Hocking Schools. She is pictured here with Tiger and Deputy Wallace. We are so thankful to have the resources and safety measures we have!!

Freshmen and Sophomores attended their first Academic Coaching assembly today with Mr. Burke. Mr. Burke is one of the ICU coordinators helping students with multiple missing assignments learn to prioritize, set goals, and complete work for academic success. The theme every assignment matters is a theme of Academic Coaching.
We had a great first day at Green Elementary! Several LHS students came out to greet our returning leaders, along with Carrie Cook-Porter, Director of Special Services. We held our annual opening day assembly to bring our school community together to set our expectations for the year and talk about how all students will grow in leadership and academics. A great big thanks to the High School for sending greeters out to us at Hocking Hills Elementary. It was nice to have you here, Autumn, Carsyn, and Alissa! The teachers enjoyed seeing former students with us today too! Best of luck in the last two years of High School!
If you would like your child(ren) to start Project SAFE on the first day of programming (Wednesday, Aug 21) you must register by Monday, August 19th. There is a strict, two-day registration process involved. Please plan ahead and come register your children as soon as possible at the board office (2019 E. Front St.). Please ask for Shelley McIntosh.
