Maya Burrito Chieftain Academy Show
Digital Academy
Submitted by: Mrs. Oldham

The Logan Hocking School District would like to announce the opening of the first Chieftain Academy Art Show now on display at the Maya Burrito Gallery. The show features artwork from students who are enrolled in the Chieftain Academy (digital learning). This platform does not currently have art in the curriculum, so we wanted to give the students a chance to express themselves. All ages were invited to participate and we received entries from 1st grade all the way up to 9th. One student even sent work all the way from sunny California!

The display has no set theme, so students were able to show off their creativity and come up with their own ideas. There are a variety of drawings and paintings with subject matter ranging from magna art to landscapes. The display runs through the end of February and their hours are Monday through Friday 11a.m.-8p.m. and Saturday 11a.m.-3p.m. So if you happen to be in downtown Logan, stop in to the Maya Burrito Co. at 12 E. Main St. and take a look at some great art!
