On Thursday, March 5, 2020, the Chief Logan FFA Agricultural Mechanic Skills team travelled to Tri-County Career Center to compete in the district contest. The team qualified for the state contest by placing first. During the contest the students completed 10 stations which included areas of online part ordering, DC electricity, tool identification, part identification, engine repair, welding, soldering, fastener identification, drilling and tapping a hole, etc. The team was led by senior Collin Rimkus who placed first individually, followed by junior Erik Stufflebeam placing second, junior Colt Hull placing third, and with junior Blake Jordan as our alternate. Since the team placed within the top two, they will be advancing to the state contest at The Ohio State University, ATI Campus in Wooster, Ohio. A job well done by these students and good luck at the state contest on April 3, 2020.
