On April 30th and May 1st, four LHS juniors attended the Regional Scholars Leadership Retreat at Camp Akita, here in Logan, Ohio. The Regional Scholars Leadership Retreat is a two-day camp for high-achieving 11th graders in Southeastern Ohio, who are interested in developing their leadership skills and planning for their futures. Matthew Cobel, Pamela Martinez-Ibarra, Mackenzie Maynard, and Grace Mullett were selected to represent LHS. During the retreat, the students were able to meet fellow juniors from all over Southeastern Ohio and participate in numerous leadership-developing and team-building activities. The students were recognized for their participation and one LHS student, Pamela Ibarra-Martinez, was recognized with a special Leadership Award for demonstrating a high level of leadership during the retreat.
