LHSD FCCLA Win Gold & Bronze at Regionals!

On Saturday, March 9, 2019, three Middle School members and three High School members competed at the Regional FCCLA Competition.

Elizabeth Long, Chloe Ellison, and Kayle Bond (8th grade Middle School students) received Outstanding Chapter Gold Award.

Haylee Leasure, Arizona Hamm, and Carsyn Lawrence (High School students) received Outstanding Chapter Gold Award.

The Outstanding Chapter Career Development Event consists of a team event that promotes, plans, and conducts a well-balanced Program of Work that supports strategic alignment with state and national Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). Students must be affiliated member of the state and national organization and and are enrolled in the Logan-Hocking School District Family and Consumer Sciences courses. The Middle and High school FCCLA members will advance to the FCCLA State Leadership Conference for their Outstanding Chapter Event.

Joel Cheadle (High School student) received Leadership Bronze Award. The Leadership Career Development Event is an individual event that recognizes participants who have actively evaluated and grow in their leadership potential. Joel investigated his leadership ability, assessed his leadership and employability skills, and developed and implemented a plan to further his leadership development. Joel prepared a oral presentation at the regional competition.
