Annual Winter Band Concert

The Logan High School Instrumental Music Department will be presenting the annual Winter Concert in the Logan High School Theatre on Thursday, February 7, at 7:00 p.m. Director of Bands is Pam Price. Assistant Directors are Ben Wright and Jennifer Olis, with Ryan Garrett as Percussion Instructor and Reuben Miller as Professional Intern.
The Seventh Grade Band will open the concert with “ Majestica” by Brian Balmages; “Sahara Adventure” by Victor Lopez; and “The Golden Eagle March” by John Edmondson.
The Eighth Grade Band will perform “Sousa Favorites” arranged by Andrew Balent, “Irish Jig For Young Feet” by Travis Weller, and “Movin’ On” arranged by Scott Watson. The Logan High School Jazz Band will perform selections from the following “Whirly Bird” by Neal Hefts/Arr. Blair; “Cantaloupe Island” by Herbie Hancock/arr. Kamuf; “Blue Bossa” by Kenny Dorham; and “Blue Skies” by Irving Berlin.
The Senior High Concert Band will be performing “Mt. Healthy” by Henry Fillmore/arr. D. Shaffer; “Apollo Arise” by Travis Weller, and “Sedona” by Steven Reineke.
Admission to the concert is $2.00 for students and $3.00 for adults.

Competition for Senior High Band on March 8-9; Spring Musical on March 15-17; Annual Spring Concert on May 2; Senior High Band Banquet on May 8; Graduation Ceremonies on May 24; Alumni Day Concert (Jazz Band) on May 25; Memorial Day Parade (High School Band) on May 27 and summer sectionals for High School Band May 28 - 31.
