Hocking Hills Elementary

-Voting area will be separate from student population, with designated entry point.
-School Resource Officer (SRO) will be present in voting area, ensuring no interaction with children.
-Signs will be posted to direct voters to entry point.
-Bus pick ups and drop offs will be altered, ensuring no interaction is made between voters and students.
-SRO will be in cafeteria during lunch to make sure no interaction between voters and students take place.
-Recess will be monitored with teachers and principal.
-No polling workers will be in the school building outside of the voting area, unless they have a school badge and are escorted to the area they need to visit (i.e. restroom).
-SRO will assist with voting set-up and and voting departure.

Union Furnace Elementary

-Voting area will be separate from student population, with designated entry point.
-School Resource Officer (SRO) will be present in voting area, ensuring no interaction with children.
-Signs will be posted to direct voters to entry point.
-Start of Day and End of Day procedures will be altered to limit interaction with the voters.
-Staff members will monitor lunches closely to make sure no interaction between voters and students take place.
-Recess will be monitored with teachers and principal.
-No polling workers will be in the school building outside of the voting area, unless they have a school badge and are escorted to the area they need to visit (i.e. restroom).
SRO will assist with voting set-up and and voting departure.

Laurelville Elementary

-Hocking County Sheriff's Office will also supply a deputy to the Laurelville Elementary School so they have coverage there, as well.


Logan High School

-The auxiliary gym will be used for the voter polling. This area has a separate entrance that can be monitored and is away from the normal entry points for students from 7:10 am until 2:35 pm.

-A deputy will be assigned to assist in monitoring the area to keep voters in only the polling area. This has been discussed by Ken Dille, Lisa Schwartze, Chief Valkenburg, and Monte Bainter.

-Our SRO and principal will also be visible near the area to have a second layer of supervision for “wanderers.”

-Sheriff North will be supplying a deputy for the high school on Tuesday.

-Signage will be used to label proper entry points for voting and non-entry points for voting.

-Polling workers will be given visitor badges and will be directed to remain in their designated areas. Restroom facilities are directly adjacent to the polling area and away from the other parts of the building.

-Custodians will assist with set-up for the poll area the night before the event.

-The polling event coordinator will be issued a school keycard (records every use) to access the building for setup. This will be issued during school hours on the day before the event.

-Parking will be localized to the entrance for voters to use. This area will be supervised at the beginning of the school day and at the end of the school day.
