She is a graduate of Hocking College with an Associate of Business degree in Office Administration, and holds a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University in Business Education, and a Masters in Education from The University of Dayton. Atkins lives in Logan, with her husband Nate and daughter Kallie. When asked how her first couple of weeks have been in her new role, Atkins stated, "This school year has been wonderful for me so far! I have always hoped that I could teach at my home school. The Administration, Faculty, and Staff have been so welcoming and kind. I am very happy to be part of the Chieftain Family again! I am very excited to help grow the Business Education program at LHS. I feel that all students can benefit from Business Education and am so excited for the opportunities of College Credit Plus that are being offered to our students."
