Update on School Threat
District
Submitted by:

Dear Parents, Staff and Students,

I wanted to provide you with more information around the potential threat that closed our schools today. Last evening I received correspondence from our School Resource Officers that they had information regarding a social media post stating that “someone is saying there is going to be a shooting at LHS tomorrow, apparently a bunch of people got called and someone from Reynoldsburg is going to shoot up the school tomorrow.”

We made the decision to cancel school because the media post was from a student that attends Lancaster High School, but previously attended school in Logan. Authorities have not confirmed whether the threat was directed at Lancaster, Logan High School, Logan Hocking Schools, or other surrounding districts that have the initials of “LHS”.

Our number one priority is keeping students and staff safe. The Logan Hocking School District Administration is working diligently with law enforcement agencies to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Our goal is to resume a normal schedule as soon as the situation permits. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this situation.
