Holiday Traditions
Central Elementary
Submitted by: Mrs. Van Horn

Students in Ms. Wilsonís kindergarten class wrapped up their study of holiday traditions by reading The Night Tree by Eve Bunting. It is a lovely story where a family makes ornaments of food and popcorn chains for the forest animals. They decorate the same special tree each year on Christmas Eve. They then drink hot cocoa and sing carols by the tree. Students made their own ornament for their family to hang on a special tree. They also made their own edible Christmas trees at their holiday party.
