The Chief Logan FFA Food Science and Technology team placed second in the District 10 career development event, Thursday afternoon at Athens High School. The team consisted of our top four scores, they included; Cameron Jordan, Jessica Kearns, Caitlyn Myers and Dreena Wiseman. Members of the team took an online general knowledge test, as well as being tested on the following food science practicums; aroma identification, triangle test, customer inquiries, food science math, food safety and sanitation, and food analysis. Abbie Dicken, Libby Beckley, Emily Rosser and Victoria Sanders also competed in the event.
Nine teams from across the district competed in the event. The top five teams were, Fort Frye, Chief Logan, Oak Hill, Minford, and Gallipolis.The top two teams in the district earn the right to represent District 10 in the state contest, December 2, 2017, at the Parker Food Science and Technology building on The Ohio State University Campus. Good luck to those individuals competing at the state contest.
