Logan High School
Submitted by: Brice Frasure
Logan High School is offering a College Credit Plus (CCP) Parent/Student Information Meeting to provide information and guidance about Ohio’s College Credit Plus program. This year’s annual meeting will be held Thursday, January 25th at 6:00pm in Logan High School Cafeteria. This meeting will feature representatives from Hocking College and Ohio University and will primarily be focused on students and families who are intending to take coursework on a college campus as a high school student. However, all are welcome to attend this informational meeting.
Ohio’s College Credit Plus program allows college-ready students* in grades 7-12 to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. College-ready students interested in participating in the program must turn in a CCP Letter of Intent by April 1st to notify school counselors of their intention to participate for next school year.
Currently, Logan High School offers 11** upper-level CCP courses taught onsite by LHS credentialed-instructors where students can receive high school credit and Ohio college-credit from a partnering college institution. Future CCP meetings focused on college-level courses offered at LHS Campus will be held after LHS course registration meetings are complete.
