Claus For Paws at UF
Union Furnace Elem.
Submitted by: Mr. Novar

Union Furnace Elementary recently completed their holiday "Fur-raiser" called, "Claus for Paws". Students were encouraged to bring in various items that could be donated to the Hocking County Dog Pound. The event was organized and ran by the school's student council, under the leadership of the co-advisors, Ashley Sutton and Mallory Troiano. In all, the students collected over 1,600 pounds of items for donation. As an added incentive, the class that donated the most won an extra recess and hot chocolate treat. Congratulations to Mrs. Schein-Brown's class for collecting over 450 pounds of supplies and winning the contest! Pictured are some of the student council members presenting the collected supplies.
